German-born visual artist Jana Koelmel presents Anna - Where Love Ends, Hate Begins, a compelling multimedia exhibition inspired by Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina.

Developed over more than a decade, the project combines staged portrait photography, atmospheric landscape images, embroidered quotations and video installation to explore themes of love, family, social expectations, gender inequality and psychological conflict. Together, these elements create an immersive experience that invites visitors to reconsider one of literature's most enduring stories through a contemporary lens.

By reimagining Anna Karenina, Koelmel explores questions that remain strikingly relevant today.

Presented at Cascade Art Concept in Milton, the exhibition runs throughout Brisbane German Week and continues until 24 October.
