How did it all begin in Queensland? 187 years ago in 1838, just before Queensland became independent of New South Wales, is when the first free settlers arrived – German Missionaries – in Nundah (from port Moreton Bay, NSW), formerly known as “German Station” ....

It is a perfect setting for a cultural event inspired by German “Wanderlust” - connecting cultural exploration with German-Australian history.

We are excited to have the Brisbane Greeters on board for this day with a guided tour around the area where the first German settlers found their new home Down Under. Join us for a 2-hour tour on Tuesday afternoon 3 to 5pm! Meeting point: "German Station" (Nundah Train Station)!
