About The Event
Join Brisbane German Week at the Queensland Conservatorium for a free lunchtime concert celebrating the richness and diversity of the German musical tradition.
Presented by Ralf Klepper, founder and director of SuonaVoce™ Australia, in association with Graeme Jennings, Senior Lecturer in Strings at the Queensland Conservatorium, this special performance brings together talented Conservatorium students for a program featuring some of the most significant German-speaking composers.
From Mendelssohn’s exhilarating writing for strings to Schubert’s lyrical The Shepherd on the Rock and Wagner’s evocative Wesendonck Lieder, the concert showcases a wonderful variety of instrumental and vocal works.
Presented in the Conservatorium Foyer, this relaxed and welcoming concert offers the perfect opportunity to experience outstanding live music during your lunch break while supporting the next generation of Australian musicians.
